How to play a DVD in VLC media player

Follow the instructions below to play a DVD in VLC media player:

1. Make sure you are signed into Windows and that you have the DVD placed into the CD/DVD drive on your computer
2. Click the VLC shortcut on your desktop for VLC (it is an orange traffic cone)
3. If your desktop doesn't have a VLC shortcut, click the start button and search for VLC. Click VLC media player
4. Once VLC is open, click the Media button in the top left and then click Open Disc... . When the Open Media window appears, ensure that your DVD is selected on the Disc Device menu and then click Play at the bottom. VLC will now start to read and play your DVD
