To learn to properly use your new ViewBoard in your classroom, you'll need to take some time and walk through some basic training videos on how to use it.

These videos should not take a long time to watch -- most only 10 minutes per video -- but they will teach you the necessary content to get you up and running for the school year. We have arranged these videos in order of how you should watch them.

1. Getting Started with ViewBoard – A Hardware Overview

  • You should be able to turn your ViewBoard on/off using the hardware buttons on the front after watching

2. myViewBoard: Windows Onboarding w/Built-In PC – Using the Built-In PC

  • You should be able to access the Windows PC that is built-in to your ViewBoard after watching - you will sign into it using your normal Claymont credentials like you would on your classroom computer

3. myViewBoard: Binding Your Cloud Storage (required)

  • MUST COMPLETE, you won't be able to access your Google Drive from the myViewBoard app unless completed
  • You should be able to bind your Google Drive to your myViewBoard account after watching

4. myViewBoard: Sign In and Overview (required)

  • MUST COMPLETE, you won't be able to access your Google Drive from the myViewBoard app unless completed
  • You should be able to launch and sign in to the myViewBoard software located on the built-in PC's desktop

5. myViewBoard: Opening and Using Whiteboard for Windows

  • You should be able to understand the basics of the myViewBoard app and grasp the fundamental tools

6. myViewBoard: Whiteboard Overview

  • You should be able to understand some more advanced concepts of the myViewBoard app like inserting Google Drive files, file management, and student interactivity

After watching all of this content, you should have at least a basic understanding of how to use your ViewBoard throughout the school day. Of course, there is still a lot more to learn. I recommend going to the ViewSonic Youtube channel here to learn more if you are looking at any of the features that were not covered in this video series. If there is anything you think this video missed, please leave a comment on this helpdesk article so we can include it for the future.

Claymont is also committed to providing teachers more training of their ViewBoards in upcoming trainings during professional development days. Stay tuned for when those are and what content will be available.

If you have any questions regarding the content or just need some more one-on-one help, please send a ticket to techsupport@claymontschools.org as always! :-)
